Smith Flow Control Ltd is the leading specialist in Mechanical Valve Interlocking and Process Safety Management systems. Smith Flow Control found that Access Accounts enabled it to increase the volume of transactions with the same number of staff. “The centralised Costing Module provides the facility to book all costs within the business, wherever they may arrive from, to a cost centre. A particular use of this is to track all expenses incurred by each employee on each business trip and by each expense category,” said Financial Director Jonathan Hildrey.

“The core accounting modules for our business are the Costing Module, Stock Control, Purchase Order Processing, Sales Order Processing and Bill Of Materials. All sales orders are set up as individual jobs as they come in and all costs are easily allocated to the relevant job and further allocated to a Cost Centre within the job. The possibility of keeping track of cost per order and cost per individual staff and the ability to report on each and every project is vital to the company. It is essential to keep our stock levels below £400,000 and Access Accounts enables us to achieve all this and more.”
