ApexIS helps put faith-based charities in financial control

Press Release - Friday, February 10, 2006

A dedicated faith-based charity seminar on accounting issues and systems will be held on Wednesday 15th March at The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) in London. The event will be hosted by ApexIS, an expert in accounting systems in the not for profit sector and one of Access Accounting’s accredited specialist centres.

The event is aimed at those tasked with looking after the finances of faith-based charities with development house, Access Accounting, presenting its Dimensions Charity software and discussing the importance of flexibility and integration issues when it comes to considering accounting software.

Attendees will also hear from:

Matt Garman, managing director of ApexIS, commented, “We’ve held a number of similar events in the past and they’ve all been very well received. Implementing new software and dealing with the ever changing regulatory environment is tough. This is why we decided to hold a seminar for faith-based charities in particular, providing the opportunity to hear from specialists in their areas and to discuss the current issues they are facing.”

“There are so many external influences on charitable organisations today including the growing pressures for greater financial transparency and accountability, governance & taxation requirements – not to mention the frequent and complex changes in government legislation,” he continued.

Access Accounting has worked with numerous charities over the past 15 years, both large and small, providing them with a solution to meet the needs and requirements of the complicated charity accounts structure including SOFA reporting to SORP requirements, flexible budgeting, partial VAT exemption and the management of restricted and unrestricted funds.

The seminar will take place between 9am and 2pm with light refreshments and the opportunity to network with the key speakers and other faith-based organisations.

Anyone interested in attending the seminar or obtaining further details should contact Richard Slade on 01323 440400 or email rslade@apexis.uk.com.
