Handling Enquiries

When time and speed is of the essence, Access Stock Control will find the item you need, and:

automatically recommend your specified replacement when items are superseded
display your choice alternatives if it is out of stock
automatically prompt the addition of dozens of associated items if the item is a component within a bundle
help your staff get to know their products; each record contains picture fields and eight pages of free-format notes so that you can build up a visual catalogue for each item

Stock Availability and Valuation

Access Stock Control facilitates 'Just in Time' stock management by:

producing an order schedule to forecast stock reorder requirements for days, weeks or months ahead, based on open sales orders, open purchase orders and the required by date on each order detail line
generating a purchase request for sales orders where there is insufficient stock to fill the order
taking account of existing stock levels, Back to Back order requests and purchase orders when calculating recommended orders
maintaining four levels of valuation: FIFO (First in First Out) Cost, Latest Cost, Average Cost and Weighted Average Cost
offering instant, full movement analysis (quantity and value, in and out) for every period for the last three years. Transaction reports differentiate between sales, purchases, losses and adjustments.

Ten Price Bands

Access Stock Control ensures that your customers always get quoted the right price, offering:

ten standard selling prices or quantity discounts for each customer
definable labels for each price band, such as 'trade price' or 'retail price'
storage of individual buying prices for up to ten Suppliers
the ability to enter prices individually or calculate them as a percentage of a base selling or cost price.
rapid entry of new records with a 'duplicate' option
easy recalulation on a range of stock prices with a single command

Price Matrix

The Price Matrix module within Access Stock Control allows total control over pricing by:

storing a unique price for every combination of customer and stock
displaying a warning message when processing sales orders if discounts take the sales price below the cost price
revealing the profit margin each time the warning message appears

Intrastat

The Intrastat module within Access Stock Control makes it easy to produce the arrivals and dispatch reports required when trading with the EC, storing the following for each stock record:

commodity code
country of origin
net mass (in kilos)

Sub-Analysis of Stock Records

Access Stock Control allows all Stock Records to be sub-analysed to six levels, with the method and terminology chosen to suit your type of business. You could, for example, analyse by the following and still have a further level of analysis available:

location
warehouses
size and colour
batch lot

Full quantity and value information is tracked and consolidated at each level of sub-analysis, for each Stock Record.

Landed Costs

This powerful facility within Access Stock Control can be set up in a number of ways to help your company track the full cost of any stock line, including:

charges such as haulage, storage and duties
pre-selected combinations, including: adding fixed costs to shipments of stock; adding a percentage of stock value to shipments of stock; and allocating purchase invoices (or parts of purchase invoices) to a shipment of stock

BOM Assemblies - Parts Explosion

An assembly can include an unlimited number of component Stock Records or price line items. Within Access Stock Control, you can:

see at a glance if there are sufficient materials available to build an order
build multiple assemblies by making the necessary stock adjustments with just one command

Serial Numbers and Bar Codes

Access Stock Control tracks serial numbers as they move in and out of stock, and allows you to:

trace serial numbers by Stock Record, Customer and Supplier and enter data directly from bar code readers
form the base for when seeking BS 5750 or ISO9000 approval.
